Biobot – Science and technology evolve at an unstoppable rate, and advances are taking place that opens up new avenues of research and possibilities that were unthinkable until recently.
All these innovations are taking place in many areas, but here we will focus on explaining what a biobot is and what uses it could give.
The observation of nature and animal behaviour led to the creation of biobots.

Concept
A biobot can define as a type of robot whose design is inspire by animals. It is a complete up of part of living cells, with another piece of its artificial anatomy.
In 2020, American scientists presented a type of robot made from frog skin and muscle cells, with a duration limited to one week.
By placing the contractile cells in a certain position, it was achieving that the biobot moved in one direction or circles.
They would be able to perform tasks together, forming a kind of “swarm”, such as moving and transporting objects.
Advantages of biobots
These organic machines can regenerate if they suffer a cut to recompose themselves and continue their “work”.
Another advantage is that they are entirely biodegradable and destroy their cells after a period of time.
Therefore, despite their apparent fragility, they are pretty resistant.
Possible uses of Biobots
Although we are still at a very primary stage. Some of the future uses that can be given to biobots are already beginning to be a glimpse.
Medical uses
In the medical field, they could be use to free clogged arteries or to detect tumours.
Another possible use would be administering drugs with greater precision and efficiency.
Similarly, in the future, they could be handy in the field of microsurgery.
Improving medical prostheses, combining soft and rigid parts, could be another of its uses.
Environmental uses
They could use to collect plastic waste and bring it to a designate area for collection.
They could also help clean up areas contaminate with toxic substances.
Other uses
They can use for the transport and manipulation of particles. Over time, it can refine to target specific particles.
As we have said, all these uses are still far from being apply.
Over time, through the necessary investment in research, new uses will be discovere that could be very useful in the future of humanity.
