From March to November 2022, Kherson was under illegal Russian occupation. On March 6, 2022, it received the status of “hero city” from President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Ukrainian forces have reportedly crossed the Dnipro River and retaken territory on the left bank of Kherson province, paving the way for a possible future advance towards Crimea. According to pro-Russian Telegram channels, Ukrainian troops have seized the village of Dachi, opposite the city of Kherson, near the destroyed Antonivskyi Bridge. The media said they have dug in and are seeking to establish a bridgehead.

There has been no official comment from Ukraine’s military high command. Still, the reports suggest Ukrainian units seek to exploit new weaknesses in Russia’s defensive position after the sabotage earlier this month.

The explosion – which Kyiv and Western governments say Moscow carried out – washed away Russian frontline positions. Russian troops have recently relocated from the left bank of Kherson province to the Zaporizhzhia region, where Ukraine is also seeking to advance.

The concentration of sodium hypochlorite in water is many times higher. It is necessary to clean the networks from accumulated sediment in the water supply and destroy pathogens. Such disinfections are carried out preventively in all cities. And for the Kherson region, it is also necessary due to the flooding of water supply networks.

Specialists of the Khersonvodokanal chemical and bacteriological laboratory of drinking water control the cleaning process. The authorities will inform you about the completion of water disinfection.

The curfew has changed in the Korabel district of Kherson

In the Korabel micro-district in  Kherson, the curfew’s length has changed. From June 27, it will last from 21:00 to 05:00.

The head of the Kherson MBA, Roman Mrochko, announced this. According to him, the ban on entry to some parts of the Korabel micro-district is also partially lift. So, from Tuesday, residents can get to their homes on Naftogawan.

However, entry and stay prohibit from Hydropark Square along Marija Fortus Street due to demining activities and ensuring security.

The situation in the Kherson region

The State Emergency Service reported that the water level in the Dnipro in the Kherson region has risen by two centimeters since the beginning of last June. As of June 26, it exceeds the norm by four centimeters.

Student volunteers from Rivne, who were helping the Kherson people, also came under the fire of the Russians. The boys, aged 25 and 23 years old, received moderate injuries. Doctors are helping them.
